Monday 4th September 2017, sees the welcome return of a TVRCC trackday at Cadwell Park. More details to follow soon.
If you weren't able to attend the C&CS magazine Classic Car show at the NEC then perhaps you might like to take a 'Virtual Tour' of the TVRCC stand. Click on the image to load the model and navigate around the exhibits by clicking on the circles on the ground and looking around in 360° by dragging your mouse or finger across the screen. Some limited information on the cars is available by clicking on the small Blue and While 'Targets'.
The Saffron Walden car show has been running for a number of years now as a charity event in support of 'Help for Heroes'. It always manages to attract a large number of cars ranging from the classic 1930s all the way up to the modern day.
The Duxford car show this year was probably one of the biggest non-TVR specific events that was attended by members of the South Eastern regions this year. Organised by Tony (RO for East Midlands) just under 60 TVRs turned up and virtually overwhelmed every other club there.
Sherburn Aero Club
On 25th June 2011 we had a multi region event with our friends from Tees Valley, South Yorkshire and North Yorkshire joining the West Yorkshire crew for our 2nd year of helping with the Candlelighters Charity Day at Sherburn Aero Club near Selby, Yorkshire. Candlelighters is a Yorkshire based charity formed and run by parents of children who are suffering from or have had cancer. Although a small local show by some standards, this event has always managed to attract a good range of modern and classic cars to come and show. The event this year was blessed with some great weather and over twenty TVRs from various regions local to the Royston area showing. There were various competitions ranging throughout the day, from men pulling Landrovers around, to model spitfires and jet-fighters dog fighting it out in the skies above. Generally, a very enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon - and I thoroughly recommend the burgers!
Never having attended a DTEC race before at Snetterton, I was very curious about what the day would be like and I was not disappointed! For the paltry sum of £5 pounds, all the TVR owners that attended were treated to a great day out at the races with reserved parking, free tea and cake. The races themselves were only supposed to take 20mins to complete, but you would not have noticed as the time seemed to be far longer - which was a good thing! After the races were over, a number of us went down to the pits to meet the drivers and look over the cars while indulging in some tea and cake. All-in-all, a great day out for the both racing and a social event. Much recommended!

Fox & Rabbit at Levisham
Even though the showers came twice it didnt spoil a 130 mile run, with roofs down, through spectacular Yorkshire scenery. What better to refill the tanks half way than a good old pie! Pop along next time and enjoy a day with cars and friends, new or old. Although an event primarily aimed at American Classics and hot-rods, the Beaconsfield show is open to any sports or classic car that wants to be marvelled at by the public. The show this year was held on a sunny bank holiday and featured a great range of classics and other hot-rods, plus a scattering of the odd TVR here and there. The show did not attract a large response from the local TVR community this year which was unfortunate, but those that did go enjoyed themselves immensely. The field was full of chrome as far as the eye could see and we also saw a number of classic British cars that sparked some interesting memories for some of us there.
