After a horrendous wet qualifying session in the morning, with Andy unable to get any power down in the Sagaris without massive wheel spin, their grid position was 31st (of 32).
However, the weather was kinder in the afternoon, and in a dry race, by the time Andy pitted halfway through the one hour race, he was up to 17th. Darren then continued the progress through the field, finishing 10th. A great comeback, and a very creditable performance in a field comprising of some very tasty Moslers, Marcos, Corvettes, Vipers, Porsche RSRs and Ferraris, not to mention an Audi R8 and an Aston Martin DBRS9.
The second race is at 11:50 Sunday - for anyone not going to Chatsworth, there is the opportunity to see some fine racing...
Also on the bill are Boss GP (ex F1 cars - should be amazing to see and hear), massive grids of MX5s and Britcar endurance. Racing continues all day Sunday.
Given the strength of the field Andy and Darren are up against, do go along and see them in the paddock to show your support!
