|After a brief sunshine & TVR filled convoy from the TVR development facility to the Great Hall at Mains, the setting for today's TVR Preview Event, invited guests from the TVRCC and dealer network heard a short presentation from David Oxley and the TVR team. A more detailed article on the day and the presentation will appear in August's Sprint magazine, but the main points are:-
It was explained that this was very much a day to unveil the new prototype car to the 'TVR Family', which included TVRCC members, dealers & local partners, ahead of a later press campaign.
David Oxley announced that he would be handing over the reins of the business to James Oxley over the next year, enabling him to enjoy his retirement.
Other members of the TVR team were in attendance, including Jason Oxley, Nikolai Smolenski, and the team who designed and built the Sagaris II.
The car itself featured a significantly refocused interior, including a much roomier cockpit, improved seating, climate control, and built-in touch screen information & control system with such features as ipod compatibility and satnav. On the exterior, the car sported a one piece bonnet, redesigned front & rear diffusers, rear facing exhausts and other subtle panel redesigns.
A full spec of Sagaris II plus a full report on the day will appear in next month's Sprint.
