TVRCC Big Bad Wedge Fest 2006
Ettington
Saturday 15th - Sunday 16th July 2006

Despite clashing with the Club's main event of the year in Blackpool, this did not deter nearly 100 wedge owners who made the annual pilgrimage to the Ettington Chase Hotel near Stratford where they were bathed in glorious sunshine.

In addition to simply marvelling at the cars on display which ranged from the very earliest Tasmins right up to the last 400 and 450SEs, members were also treated to a number of traders' highlights such as laser suspension geometry on Dickymint's SEAC and 7 wedges receiving new windscreens courtesy of Mobile Windscreens (and thanks must go to Steve and Cyril who averaged one screen per hour despite the blazing heat).  Alan Toomey also gave an interesting talk (with some shocking examples for all to see) of what to look for on a corroded chassis.  In the evening, everyone made the short walk to the White Horse where they were entertained to a barbecue and live music, plus of course the now famous tug of war!

It was especially good to see TVRCC North America President Marshall Moore who had come over for this event and who was one of a number of members who later made the 150 mile journey up to Blackpool so as to join in with both events.

Thanks to Alan Toomey, Richard Hurd, Steve Davis, Mike Bressington and all other organisers wo made this possibly the best ever Wedge Fest.
