TVRCC Back Home 2006
Blackpool
Saturday 15th - Sunday 16th July 2006

We would like to thank all TVRCC Members who attended Back Home 2006 for making it one of the most successful Back Homes in recent years.

Over 400 cars were parked on the promenade under brilliant blue skies. Demonstration drives were made by a wide range of racing TVRs, including the Speed 12, an assortment of Tuscan Challenge Racers and the 1962 Le Mans Grantura, freshly back from successfully completing Le Mans Classic. Over 600 members visited the factory on the Sunday, and with over 250 TVRs rumbling through Blackpool to close the event, it was truly memorable.

Back Home 2006

The only aspect that spoiled an otherwise perfect event was the evening function. We should like to take this opportunity to allay any myths about this. Unfortunately, our suppliers failed to deliver our requirements. As soon as this was apparent, they were invited to rectify the situation. They were unable to do so to our satisfaction, and therefore the club have offered a full refund for the evening function to all members who attended that part of the event. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to some members and are in negotiation with the supplier to recover our losses. The vast majority of members felt that this did not spoil their enjoyment of what has been described as one of the best Car Club weekends for many years, enjoyed by many thousands of club members, members of the public and personnel from TVR, including the Managing Director David Oxley, and the Owner, Nikolai Smolenski. We would like to give a heartfelt thanks to everybody involved in making this stunning event possible.
