Chimfest 06 - 20th August 2006
Set in the magnificent grounds of Sandon Hall, Stafford, the first ever national gathering dedicated to the TVR Chimaera was a complete success and certainly worthy of TVR's best ever selling sports car.
The official count showed 162 TVRs present which included 126 Chimaeras of which 75 took to the road for the Chimfest Rumble in the middle of the afternoon.
Thanks to the generosity of a number of companies who kindly donated TVR related good and memorabilia, £298 was raised for the Event's selected charity, the Great North Air Ambulance.
The following cars won awards
Best interior - Kevin Abbott
Best upgrade/modification - Steve Guest
Best 'standard' engine bay - Frank Smith
Best in show - Mr Breeze
There is no doubt though that without the initiative and efforts of one man, this event would not have gone ahead. So our heartfelt congratulations go out to Bob Smith who was the driving force behind this event since it was first suggested as a "lets meet up at one of the Tuscan Challenge rounds and have a pint or six afterwards"! Bt also we must than the traders who attended and without whose support the event would surely not have been so much of a success:
