Saturday, July 28th saw the 2007 Big Bad Wedge Festival take place at its regular haunt of Ettington Chase Hotel in rural Warwickshire.
Despite the preceding month of rain and intense flooding the weekend was warm bright and Sunny and sunscreen and shorts were definitely the order of the day!
Saturday saw upwards of 90 wedges and a smattering of other models, which is always good to see, Wedge Fest is keen to welcome all models and owners of TVRs.
The usual competitions were in full flight, the rolling road was doing a roaring trade and to crown the day Martin Lilley spent several hours talking to owners and admiring the cars on display in the Timeline, which featured each production model from the earliest Tasmin drophead through to the final 450 SE.
The chosen charity this year was The British Heart Foundation and throughout the day the organisers had come up with novel and amusing methods to raise money, including the Wedge Master Quiz, WedgerHunt, Michelle’s Refreshment Stall, Woody’s Curry Pot, all rounded off with a very successful raffle and auction at The White Horse they managed to raise £662.56.
