| Knebworth Annual Classic Motor Show |

Knebworth classic car show is something of a tradition for the Herts and Beds area and this year was their 21st birthday, so we all went along again to help celebrate.
The event itself runs over two days during the bank holiday weekend and as a club presence is desired on both days, we split up between us who would be going on which day. All in all, about 25-30 TVRs went over the two days, with the majority attending on the Monday.
The event was well attended by lots of other clubs and private cars, so gave us lots of things to look at during the day making it a great event as per usual!

Kimbolton is an event that has long been on the yearly calendar of the Cambridgeshire and Herts and Beds region. It features not just a very well attended car show, but also a large local fair which has just about everything you expect an old country fair to have.
We had about 30-40 TVRs in attendance during the day - which included not just the TVR club, but also another local club and various private owners.
It was the first event for a number of our new members and they thoroughly enjoyed it! The only downside to the day was Keith's S3 which decided it was going to throw a little fit and break down. Other than that, a great day out!

Candlelighters is a Yorkshire based charity formed and run by parents of children who are suffering from or have had cancer.

Although a small local show by some standards, this event has always managed to attract a good range of modern and classic cars to come and show. The event this year was blessed with some great weather and over twenty TVRs from various regions local to the Royston area showing. There were various competitions ranging throughout the day, from men pulling Landrovers around, to model spitfires and jet-fighters dog fighting it out in the skies above. Generally, a very enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon - and I thoroughly recommend the burgers!

Never having attended a DTEC race before at Snetterton, I was very curious about what the day would be like and I was not disappointed! For the paltry sum of £5 pounds, all the TVR owners that attended were treated to a great day out at the races with reserved parking, free tea and cake. The races themselves were only supposed to take 20mins to complete, but you would not have noticed as the time seemed to be far longer - which was a good thing! After the races were over, a number of us went down to the pits to meet the drivers and look over the cars while indulging in some tea and cake. All-in-all, a great day out for the both racing and a social event. Much recommended!

Although the turnout for this event was slightly disappointing, the day itself was a great run out by Dan for those who did attend. The trip down to Aldeburgh was sunny and all the roofs that could go down - did. The wait at the ever popular fish'n'chip shop was not too bad and afterwards, everyone retired to their cars to munch away.

| Beaconsfield Annual Car & Bike Show |

Although an event primarily aimed at American Classics and hot-rods, the Beaconsfield show is open to any sports or classic car that wants to be marvelled at by the public. The show this year was held on a sunny bank holiday and featured a great range of classics and other hot-rods, plus a scattering of the odd TVR here and there. The show did not attract a large response from the local TVR community this year which was unfortunate, but those that did go enjoyed themselves immensely. The field was full of chrome as far as the eye could see and we also saw a number of classic British cars that sparked some interesting memories for some of us there.

Starting and finishing in Tring, the event comprised approx 80 miles of A/B roads throughout Buckinghamshire, interspersed with clues which the participants had to solve on the way. This was punctuated with a lunch stop at the Boycott Farm Shop near Stowe. 22 participants took part in 12 vehicles which included a Jaguar XJ, Subaru Impreza and a Ferrari amongst others, the latter seen here entering Wendover High St – these in addition to a wide assortment of Tivs naturally!

What an event! Cor - every sexy motor that you can imagine present. It was like the Goodwood breakfast meet of the North. One sausage, bacon and tomato sandwich, washed down with a coffee (all in aid of the YAA) and it was time to mingle, oggle and watch some cars leave in a rather spirited fashion. Until Oct then when the next one is on. Dont miss it!

17th April 2011 - Meeting place and time to be announced nearer the day
Extra people had turned up at the meeting point for the drive out. This which resulted in more people coming than places booked at the yet to be announced venue for the meal. As it turned out two people were only along for the drive and a quick drink which meant that we were only two diners over the booked number. With everyone in attendance that had booked to come along the driving directions were handed out and we set off in an orderly procession. I was near the front, and it gave me a pleasant feeling when I looked back to see the string of TVRs, a Lamborghini and the red eurobox which had to replace a member’s V8 T350T due to gearbox problems (this time).
