London 13th November 2025 : Today marks the first step in a multi-phased restructuring of TVR Automotive. Under the agreed framework, TVR Automotive will become a subsidiary of Charge Holdings Ltd as part of a phased merger and acquisition process designed to create a multi-brand, low-volume integrated automotive group.
This first phase will see members of the Charge Holdings board appointed to the TVR Automotive board, alongside the issue of new share capital to Charge Holdings. Subsequent steps will include the purchase of existing share capital from current TVR shareholders as part of the agreed consolidation process.

The new structure will enable Charge Holdings and TVR to share intellectual property, engineering expertise, facilities, and leadership resources, creating a platform capable of scaling both brands and bringing a new generation of TVR vehicles to market.
While Charge Cars has developed extensive electric vehicle intellectual property, TVR’s immediate focus will remain on delivering the refreshed TVR Griffith to customers, continuing the marque’s legacy of high-performance internal combustion sports cars before expanding into new technologies in the future.
​This partnership forms part of Charge Holdings’ long-term plan to unite heritage and innovation across a focused portfolio of performance and luxury vehicle brands.

The Club welcomes the new Office Manager, Jo Edwards who started in the position of the 1st July.  Jo joins us with a wealth of experience in events & office management as well as running her own company for many years.  Jo is married with 3 boys and looks forward to meeting many members at upcoming events including TVR Heaven and the Oulton Park Track Day.

Hugh was an outstanding figure in Endurance motorsport running cars from Group C, Lotus, Viper, TVR and Lola to name a few. At Le Mans Hugh could always be relied upon to appear on Radio LM at some point to eloquently regale everyone about the trials and tribulations of the race, in his own unique and to the point way. Hugh with his contacts at the ACO was also instrumental in getting the T400's accepted for TVRs return to the Greatest Race. On a personal level I was Lucky enough to meet and Chat to Hugh a number of times including at Sebring with the Purple Monsters the wide bodied T400's. The stories he has are legendary. I last saw him at the NEC for the autosport show and over a pint or two was told many a story about getting the TVR's into Le Mans, with a little slight of hand. Its often said of people when they pass that there will never be another like them and in Hugh Chamberlains case it's definitely True. Im sure you will Join me and the TVRCC Committee in sending condolences to Hugh's Friends and family.

TVR has been running some subtle hints in their Sprint advert which some sharp-eyed readers may have spotted with the Griffith being pictured down the Thruxton circuit drive towards the entrance.

TVR, is proud to announce that it has chosen Thruxton Race Circuit and Aerodrome as the location for a new European Development and Brand Centre.

​​The decision seals TVR's strategic vision for expansion and innovation. Thruxton, the UK's fastest track and boasting a rich heritage in motorsports, emerged as the ideal location for TVR's base, replacing its current facilities in Surrey.

A team of students from Oxford Universities Motorsport Foundation, who are embarking on the restoration of a TVR 350i as a project, were welcomed onto the TVR Car Club stand at the Classic Motor Show by club member Newton Holmes. 

Newton was pleased to explain details of his immaculately restored 1986 model to the students. They also spoke to John Box, who led the development of the slow selling Tasmin into the 3.5-litre V8 350i, which was launched 40 years ago in 1983.
The 350i was immediately well received and the car formed the basis of the company’s future success leading to models such as the Griffith, Tuscan and Sagaris. 

Ding Boston, Oxford Universities Motorsport Foundation founder, said: “This is the kind of partnership support we need and appreciate, and we were warmly welcomed by everyone on the TVR Car Club stand. Dom Trickett at Powers Performance was also most helpful”.

Richard Sails, TVR Car Club chairman, said: “It was great to meet these enterprising and enthusiastic students and the club look forward to helping them with the restoration of their 350i”.

The TVR Car Club was also celebrating: 
  • The 100th anniversary of the birth of TreVoR Wilkinson…
  • The man who gave his name to the marque in a former wheelwright’s workshop in Beverley Grove, Blackpool in 1947. 
  • The 30th anniversary of the TVR Chimaera…
  • The creation of designers Damian McTaggart and Nick Coughlan, the Chimaera is the most successful car in TVR’s history, with over 5000 being built.

 Why not enter your car for the Trevor Wilkinson Trophy? The trophy was inaugurated (and handmade) by Trevor himself in 1997 to mark the 50th Anniversary of his establishment of Trevcar Motors. It is awarded to the Club member who, in the opinion of the judges, has completed the most comprehensive restoration of a TVR in the previous 12 months. It is open to all models of TVR and does not exclude modifications which have been made in the “Spirit of TVR”.

​ The Trophy for 2023 will be awarded for any restoration completed between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023. 
The closing date for entries is 31st August 2023 and should include: 
• Any background history known about the car. 
• Full details of the restoration work done either DIY or by restorers. 
• A range of before, during and when finished photographs. 
Entries should be sent to e: secretary@tvrcc.com.
