It is being reported today in the motoring press that TVR is on the brink of an re-launch with a new model (possibly a revised Sagaris?) powered by a US crated V8. Talk suggests that this car will produce in excess of 500BHP, will cost in the region of £70K, be built in Germany and will be launched at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This is indeed exciting news if it is true, although regrettably we are unable to confirm this. We will bring you further news if or when we receive it.
May we take this opportunity to wish a Happy New Year to all our members and TVR enthusiasts and to thank everyone who helped make the TVRCC one of the very best car clubs in the world. You will all be pleased to know that plans for 2010 are already well underway and we will be announcing these both here and in Sprint as soon as they are confirmed.
Sadly no silverware for the TVRCC this year - but we are very pleased to report that the Club website, www.tvrcc.com, was awarded runner up in the Best Website (over 5000 members) category. Thanks to all of our contributors and especially to our webmaster, Paul Calland and all his team at Treble3 for their help in achieving this. Well done also to Steve Guest and his team of merry men (and women) from the WWM region who have put on yet another fantastic stand this year. If you haven't been, the show is open tomorrow from 10.00am. Looking for something to read about TVR's - Buyers guides, articles, rebuilds, road tests etc. Oliver Edwards compiles a list of all the TVR related articles he can find each month in print and our comprehensive list covers everything TVR back to 1998 - only available in the members area: TVR's in print page

May we take this opportunity to wish a Happy New Year to all our members and TVR enthusiasts and to thank everyone who helped to make 2008 a TVR year to remember. But despite the success of the year just past, we are not resting on our laurels and we have an extensive programme of events for 2009 and plans for further improvements for the Club.
We're pleased to announce that Racing Green Cars of Ash Vale, Hampshire, have agreed to sponsor the TVRCC's presence at the Britcar 24 Hour at Silverstone, 20/21 September 08. They can be found at www.racinggreentvr.com and have just launched their new TVR parts site at www.thetvrshop.com
Latest news from The TVR Monster Team. The new Sagaris GT V8 from GTF is now unleashed and will be racing next weekend. Gull wings, BIG V8 and oodles of Horsepower. There will be approx 10 of these race cars by the end of the year.
in June 2008, the Club were approached by David Oxley of TVR and invited to attend an exclusive preview of the new Sagaris 2. The Club was extremely fortunate to have been invited to this as the only other attendees were Dealer Principals; no other members of the press or representatives from other websites were present. From an overwhelming number of applicants who wanted to attend this event, some 60 Club members' names were drawn out of a hat and these then met on 10 July 2008 at the new TVR development facility in Wesham near to Blackpool from where they drove in convoy to the Great Hall at Mains where they had the opportunity at first hand to view the new car. |
