Some members may recall seeing a series of requests on our discussion forums last year asking for support to Peter Hingston, who was updating his previous work, 'Guide to Buying a Used Sports Car' which was first published over 25 years ago.We are pleased to report that the book is now complete and contains a number of TVRs from Grantura up to Tasmin, and is expected to be launched at the NEC Classic Car Show next month.
Please note, this is not to be confused with "TVR - The Early Years" which is being rewritten by Peter Filby and is also expected to go on sale before Christmas.
The Team Holden Sagaris AJP, driven by Andy Holden and Darren Dowling suffered a wheel bearing failure during Saturday's race when running in 7th place after qualifiyng 12th out of 54 cars.
Today (Sunday), Andy started the car from the back of the grid of 54 before pitting in 17th place. After a very slow fuel stop, Darren continued the charge to finish the hour long race 6th overall and on the same lap as the DTM Audi that won the race. 2:33sec laps show how quick the car is and when one looks at the car's origins as a Tuscan Challenge Car this is an amazing tribute to all involved in the team. Well done to Team Holden!
