Members will have seen the discussions in our discussion forum about London Thunder and the news itembelow announcing the rally. One of the aims of the rally is to deliver a petition to the House of Commons to highlight the plight of those workers who are losing their jobs in Blackpool and to call on the Government to do everything possible to retain manufacture of TVRs in Britain. Therefore, we need YOUR signature. As members will have read on our discussion forums, in the local media in the North West and on Pistonheads, around 100 TVRs descended on Blackpool last Friday in a show of support for the production staff workers at TVR who sadly are probably going to lose their jobs as a result of the decision reported on this website three weeks ago that TVR is to out source manufacturing to an as yet undisclosed, but rumoured to be Italian, location. Following on from the success of this rally, a southern event, named London Thunder, is to take place in the capital on Sunday 26 November to support TVR in the UK and make a World Record Attempt.
The three judges commented that the standard of entry for the Back Home concours was extremely high, and competition was fierce for 1st place. It therefore gives us great pleasure to announce the 2001 Chimaera of John Millington as the 2006 winner of the Mervyn Larner Cup. The Cerbera is one of those sportscars which even after 11 years since its revelation is still regarded as one of the fastest British production cars to hit our roads. With its bone-shattering acceleration and TVR's own unique engine - a flatplane 4.5 litre SOHC-16v V8 producing in excess of 400bhp coupled with a lightweight spaceframe tubular chassis clothed in hand-laid glassfibre and hand-stitched four-seat interior - a car which quite easily hits and tops 180mph. But, was this enough for the never-satisfied owner of one Cerbera owner? The answer, quite simply, NO! And hence was born, PROJECT PHOENIX TVR Power are now offering Injector Diagnostic testing and servicing. A full test and diagnostic if you remove and send them your injectors yourself £70 +VAT. If they remove and reinstall £110 +VAT. Both include new fuel baskets and 'o' rings and will be acompanied with before and after flow charts. They also offer a full reconditioning service for Rover V8 ignition distributors for £160 + vat with one years manufacturers warranty.
In their latest newsletter TVR Power state that Tvr Engineering Ltd have commissioned TVR Power to sell £1 million worth of stock for all Chimaera, Griffith and V8 Cerbera models. These include body panels, electrics and all serviceable parts.

He said:
"We have not had a central London dealer since HR Owen and this was a trial for a short term to determine whether we ought to again. It was a therefore only a short term let. We have decided that we do want to have a presence there and we are hoping to sign the contract on our new premises in the next few days. There will be an announcement in the New Year". As soon as we have the details, we will publish them here. Please remember though that TVR London and London TVR are two entirely separate companies; London TVR continue trading from their Kings Cross premises.
Unfortunately, it is necessary for our current Treasurer to leave this role by July of next year and, therefore, a replacement is being sought to commence early next year (to allow for overlap and liaison). This is a key role and requires a person with financial or business experience of accounting and accounts.
