It seems that both TVRs from CHAMBERLAIN - SYNERGY MOTORSPORT have now been entered into the 24 hour race. Currently only one driver is shown for the second car (M.Caine).
At long last we are delighted to launch our new look website. This now incorporates a completely new easy to use discussion forum as well as new and improved members pages such as trade ads, classifieds, future events etc. All these are now updated by a team of volunteers so keep checking back for the latest TVRCC news.

Ever had a really good idea? Well last year someone had a great idea to hold a Griff Growl one bright but cold Sunday afternoon in October at a pub in Leamington called the Griffin Inn. Despite being organised with about a week to go, there was a really good turn out of around 25 or so Griffs with a few other models thrown in for good measure – couple of Chims, couple of Cerbies and a Tuscan! So this year, we’re doing it on a bigger scale, inviting everyone to join in, over 2 days, with lots to see and do! The Griff Growl & TVR Gathering 2004 is being held on Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August at the National Heritage Centre and Motor Museum at Gaydon near Warwick with cordoned off parking for TVR’s and we’d love to see you there. Everyone’s welcome.
In recognition of his efforts in masterminding TVR’s return to Le Mans last June, Richard Stanton has been awarded the TVR Car Club’s Scott Moncrieff Trophy for 2003.
The main TVR Car Club event for 2001 was held on the Isle of Man from the 26 to 30 July. 74 TVRs made the ferry crossing to the island and the general feeling amongst the 140 drivers and passengers was that it was one of the best TVR events ever held.
The weekend started off on the Thursday at various ferry terminals as everyone met up to make the crossing to the Island. No vehicle was allowed to board until it had received a ritual dowsing in Foot and Mouth disinfectant, this saw a number of members frantically trying to wash it off immediately after but was far worse for anyone on a motorbike as they had to drive through the spray as well! Longford, Coventry CV6 6BN TVR's latest limited production, over-200mph, carbon-Kevlar GT car starred on their stand at the 2000 Motorshow in Birmingham. Meet the new boy - the Tuscan R. The family resemblance to the Tuscan is clear but it's got a character all of its own. Nose goes in where the Tuscan's goes out and vice versa. No pepper pot grille either. Fastback rear styling with bodywork in a carbon fibre and Kevlar composite. Pre-production car isn't completely finished, but since the purchaser can change just about anything in the spec - brakes, wheels, engine, gearbox, shocks - how could any one example be representative? Also new is the Tamora - cheeky retro styling. Still has 330bhp though. Newly-built Speed 12 GT race car looks very mean in black. A looming figure in any rear-view mirror. No doubt about the star of the show for TVR fans though. Tuscan R - due next season in the British GTs. Look out, Porsche. Courtesy of o-boyle.com racing and www.car--reviews.com |
