The Tasmin series, or "wedge" as it is affectionately known, was introduced in 1980 and was the mainstay of the TVR range for most of that decade until it was joined by the entry level S Series in 1986. The models lived on until 1992 although the club is aware that the last wedge to be registered carries a 1994 L plate. The Tasmins had a huge range of engines and body variants, including convertible and fixed head styles, two and four seat (sort of!) options, engines raging from Ford 2.0 Pinto up to Rover 4.5litre V8 and two fundamentally different styles of rear suspension - trailing arm and "A frame". |
It is impossible to give all information her about all variants but as additional information becomes available, we will be adding it to this page. In the meantime. if you are thinking of buying one of these cars, or already have one, we strongly urge you to purchase a copy of the Steve Heath "bible".
