New website launch

Well it took a long time coming, there has been lots going on behind the scenes for the last 18 months or so, but we have now finally launched our new website. Please note that the members area pages will not be available for a while initially as we connect things up, so please check back.

The biggest changes and improvements are:

• its now dynamic and smartphone friendly.
• there is now a simple drop down navigation bar system, so pages you never knew existing can be easily located.
• there is a search feature, see top right, for all the web and news pages. (It won't search in events or the discussion forums though as these are separate systems and we aren't clever enough to join them up!)
• there is a new clean and fresh design with some breathing space, especially compared to the old tightly packed website (it was state of the art back in the day!!)
• its now much easier to edit and update with new text, images and galleries so lots of lovely pictures of TVRs in glorious detail and more up to date information..
• there is lots of new content as we have created a page for each significant model of TVR. These are a work in progress so if we have missed something or you have more info and photos to add please let us know as we would love to continue to expand and improve them. see Model Pages
• we have launched the Digital Sprint pages in the members area. We have been digitising back copies of our award winning Sprint magazine and adding them to an online library that you can now access. These go back to the very earliest A5 magazines we can find and are fascinating to read and a fantastic resource for the club. There are still loads to do and its a slow process so keep checking back. Equally if you have any we have missed please let us know. see Digital Sprint Magazines
• an archives team  has been formed and is scanning our extensive stores of old leaflets, brochures and manuals and adding them to the new range of archive pages. see Archives
• we have an all new events calendar system which allows you to add regional and local events that otherwise people may not know about. It will get full but you can view the calendar as a list, or by month, and search dates, so it will be great to have choices and also for ROs to check when planning events so they don't overlap. see Events calendar
• the RO resources are all available online, these are about to be updated to bring them into line with the latest handbook that was given out at the AGM. There are online forms to allow RO's to order business cards and update their regional contact details. see RO Resources
• there is an interactive map of Regions in the UK so you can find your nearest region and go along and say hello. see Regions
• there is this great News system which can have loads of content and images and is date sorted so will grow and grow as we add more. A lot of the old news and events content has been ported over, but there is still more to transfer and new items to add.
