TVRCC go Karting

We are delighted to announce the TVR Car Club has an exciting new program that supports upcoming Go Kart racers through fund raising, event attendance and some great days out for all the family.

With TVRs racing heritage and its huge membership of TVR lovers, we have the opportunity to help young racers of the future and at the same time show the cars we love to a new audience.

Jacob Ashcroft is a 10 year old international kart racer for Oliver Rowland Motorsport who has produced some astonishing results and likely to have an exciting future. He’s already appeared in Nickelodeon’s “Extraordinary Me” TV program.

We had a fabulous time at the TVR Car Club trackday at Rockingham yesterday. Many thanks to the organisers. A noise restriction didn't apply so it was great to see AND hear (!!) a wide variety of cars, including those which were completely standard and others heavily modified for track use or racing.

TVR and Rebellion Racing at Le Mans 2018

Rebellion Racing/TVR Team will start the 24 Heures du Mans at the wheel of these two R-13 LMP1 prototypes on Saturday, June 16th 2018 at 3:00 pm. The new TVR Griffith was out and about making itself known with that great new engine noise, driven by Les Edgar. See the gallery of photos below:

Lydden Hill - Classic Festival and track session

Fantastic opportunity to have some fun.
The TVRCC have been offered the opportunity for members to attend the Classic Festival on the Saturday 7th of July where we will have a 25 car Club display www.lyddenhill.co.uk/events/classic-festival/
However we have also been allocated a 20 min track session where with helmets you can get out and experience the track and your car without worrying about speed cameras.

Marking its return to motor sport for the first time in more than 10 years, TVR has announced its role as the automotive partner to REBELLION Racing, competing in the LMP1 category of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) 2018 – 2019 Super Season. REBELLION Racing TVR will make its track debut during the WEC Prologue event at Circuit Paul Ricard on 6 April.

Classic Le Mans

The TVRCC is pleased conform that Daniel Nash has received an entry for this year's Classic Le Mans with the 1962 LM Grantura. With a French Grantura already entered, that will be two TVRs to cheer on in Plateau 4.
The car has just been delivered to Ian Massey-Crosse's workshop for four weeks of preparations. We wish Ian - and Dan - the very best of luck.

Tim takes DTEC title for third time

2009/2012 Dunlop TVR Champion Tim Davis made it three championships in six years at Oulton Park at the weekend when he lifted the 2014 trophy after his seventh win of the season in his AJP Tuscan. Close behind was Class B Champion Jim Walsh in his Tuscan RV8 and in third position, and second in Class A was 2011 Champion Hugh Marshall, also in an ATP Tuscan. Class C was won by championship rookie Mike Luck in a Chimaera, fourth overall. Last year’s champion, Dean Cook, had moved up to Class A+ with a Sagaris AJP in which he took class honours and eighth overall with nine victories and one second place. Congratulations to them all.

Moggy scrapes home!

As the TVRCC Speed Championship entered its final round at Castle Combe in wet, windy and wild conditions, it was Mike Roe who led the championship. But a perfect round by Steve Mogg just clinched it to take the season's honours. Congratulations Steve; full report in the motorsport page.

Stallard holds on to take title

Geoff Stallard held onto his lead in the TVRCC Speed Championship without turning a wheel by the narrowest of margins, just 0.08 points ahead of second placed and five times champion Jes Firth whose efforts to take the crown for a record sixth time were washed out in a deluge of biblical proportions at Castle Combe. Stallard scored 199.65 out of a possible 200 points. Second placed Firth took the Class A title whilst individual Class A honours went to Mike Roe. Full report and photos to follow.

Dean Cook romps home!

Despite qualifying in a meagre 9th on the grid for today's final round of the Dunlop TVR Challenge, Dean Cook powered through the pack to be in 2nd place behind last year's champion Tim Davis by the end of lap 2 and into the lead by lap 13, a position he never looked like losing. He took the chequered flag and with it the title of Dunlop TVR Champion 2013. Class A+ went to Tim Hood who had dominated all season in his Sagaris, Class B to Graham Walden and Class C to Chris Haywood-Brown. Full details and results to follow.

Great weekend of TVR motorsport

Stand by for a great weekend of TVR motorsport as our two headline events both have their final rounds on Saturday and it's still all to play for!

Firstly at Donington, the final round of the Dunlop TVR Challenge takes place with despite the dominance of Tim Hood all season, overall championship honours could go to any one of the three main class leaders with Dean Cook being the favourite.

Meanwhile in the West Country, Geoff Stallard's claim on the title hangs in the balance, as he depends on results going his way at Castle Combe. Jes Firth must win at the Wiltshire circuit to regain his 5th championship.

Tim continues to dominate

Tim Hood, driving a GTF Sagaris, made in 9 firsts from 9 starts in this year’s Dunlop TVR Challenge, incorporating the TVRCC Challenge Cup. Taking pole position in both of yesterday’s races at Rockingham, he didn’t have it all his own way trading the lead with fellow Sagaris pilot Darren Dowling in both races.

Double first for Hood at Silverstone

12/5/2013

Tim Hood, driving a Sagaris V8, scored maximum points in the opening rounds of this year's Dunlop TVR European Challenge at Silverstone with two firsts and two fastest laps. In round one, he was closely followed home by Mike Saunders in the Cerbera just 1.7 seconds adrift, whilst in round two Darren Dowling, also piloting a Sagaris V8, took second place 14 seconds behind.

TVRCC launch New Sprint Championship for 2013

The TVR Car Club is pleased to announce that for 2013, they will be launching a new Sprinting/Hillclimbing Championship, open to drivers of other classic marques as well as TVRs. This will complement our existing TVRCC Speed Championship which will continue as the TVR only series.

Jes takes Sprinting Crown

We know he's a class act but as if to remind us once again, Jes Firth took his 7th event win of the season at Castle Combe on Saturday to become 2012's most successful TVRCC Speed Championship contender (actually, our most successful contender EVER). Class wins went to Geoff Stallard in Class A and Matt Oakley in Class B.

Challenge Cup Crown to Davis

In a nail biting finale, and despite a very strong showing from Michael Saunders who took the chequered flag in both of the rounds of the DTEC/TVRCC Challenge Cup at Oulton Park on Saturday, it was Tim Davis who held out from Dean Cook to take the overall trophy for 2012
