TVRCC go Karting

We are delighted to announce the TVR Car Club has an exciting new program that supports upcoming Go Kart racers through fund raising, event attendance and some great days out for all the family.

With TVRs racing heritage and its huge membership of TVR lovers, we have the opportunity to help young racers of the future and at the same time show the cars we love to a new audience.

Jacob Ashcroft is a 10 year old international kart racer for Oliver Rowland Motorsport who has produced some astonishing results and likely to have an exciting future. He’s already appeared in Nickelodeon’s “Extraordinary Me” TV program.

If you didn't manage to get down to the Lancaster Insurance Motor Car Show at the NEC and missed visiting our excellent stand or just want to have another look round if you did then take a look at the Virtual Tour on the link above. Clicking on the circles on the floor moves you through the tour and dragging your mouse around gives you a 360° view.

Clicking on the 'i' icons near the info sheets provides a larger view of the information (Close with the black cross top right). You can also join the club or buy some merchandise directly inside the tour by clicking on one of the three icons on the counter.

The committee have been continually monitoring the situation and the latest Government guidelines. Today after careful consideration, we have taken the unusual action of postponing the AGM for approximately three months. We will monitor the situation before making any further decisions regarding the AGM.

If you had intended to attend the AGM and have not yet voted, please send a postal vote in to the office, preferably by email. During the next few months we will look at all options available to us in order to carry out all the functions of the AGM.

In this months Sprint we are pleased to announce that the Events team have been working hard and have a fabulous weekend planned for you at the famous Millbrook Proving Ground, it’s called TVRs, Spies and Ties and will take place over the weekend of 22nd & 23rd August.

NEC Show 2019

We had the most fun weekend meeting lots of new and old friends and drinking thousands of cups of tea.
Thank you to everyone who visited and those owners who showed everyone their fabulous cars. For 3 days solid the stand was full of laughter, engine sounds and biscuit crumbs !
And best of all I think we've inspired many youngsters to be TVR owners one day.

TVR S Club Eurotour 2019

Yesterday it was full steam ahead through France for the 10th S Club Eurotour. Were the 30 degree temperatures the hottest we've ever experienced in our TVR? We think so!! Our route to the hotel in the Jura region included a stop at the historic Reims GP pits. The roads will get better (and a lot higher!) the further we go today - we're particularly looking forward to climbing the Cormet de Roseland again - before arriving at our next hotel in Tignes. We had a fabulous time at the TVR Car Club trackday at Rockingham yesterday. Many thanks to the organisers. A noise restriction didn't apply so it was great to see AND hear (!!) a wide variety of cars, including those which were completely standard and others heavily modified for track use or racing.

Lydden Hill - Classic Festival and track session

Fantastic opportunity to have some fun.
The TVRCC have been offered the opportunity for members to attend the Classic Festival on the Saturday 7th of July where we will have a 25 car Club display www.lyddenhill.co.uk/events/classic-festival/
However we have also been allocated a 20 min track session where with helmets you can get out and experience the track and your car without worrying about speed cameras.

TVR Griffith at the London Motor Show

The new TVR Griffith was displayed at the London Motor Show on stand B4220 at ExCel on 17-20 May 2018. The TVR management team spent time talking to the public and lucky deposit holders as well as more high profile visitors such as Richard Hammond and James May from DriveTribe.

TVR also handed out 4,000 copies of a reprint of the TVRCC Griffith Sprint Article written by our own David Hothersall, designed by Sprint Designer Jon Lowey and printed by Paul Calland at web design and print company Treble3

New TVR Griffith was the star of the Classic Car Show at the NEC

The new 5 Litre TVR Griffith, on it's second public outing was the star of the show according to many of the visitors to the TVR Car Club stand at the NEC Classic and Sportscar show 2017 and probably one of the most photographed cars in the show. The consensus was that none of the photos had done it justice and it was far better than expected. We were delighted to have Les Edgar and his team from TVR on stand for all three days telling everyone about the new car.

New TVR Griffith to star on the TVR Car Club Stand at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2017

In a coup for the TVR Car Club that, the new 500bhp V8-engined TVR Griffith will be the star of the Club’s stand at the 2017 Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show with Discovery at the National Exhibition Centre next month. The new car will be joined by two earlier Griffiths: an original 1960s model and a more recent example from the 1990s.

TVR Hits 70

As part of the TVRCC's continuing celebrations of the 70th year of the birth of TVR by Trevor Wilkinson owners of Pre '80s TVRs are heading to Donington Park Museum on September 3rd to celebrate the early days of TVR.

They'll be joined by former owner Martin Lilley, M designer Mike Bigland and former PR John Baillie.
