After 2 seasons in the TVRCC Challenge Cup racing a Turbo TVR Tasmin, the partnership of owner/driver Cliff Jobson and Constructors Track Car Solutions Ltd have embarked on a new race car project for the 2007 season, a TVR T350. Having campaigned successfully the current Twin Turbo 24 valve TVR Tasmin and developed it as far as possible within the constraints of the original factory chassis, the team have moved their focus towards its more modern replacement. Much activity has been going on behind the scenes assessing suitability of current TVR models and assembling a team of technical specialists and sponsors committed to a successful racing program. Cliff and Track Car Solutions are delighted therefore to announce partnerships with TVR Craft, Protech, Silverstone Performance and Solafloor.Track Car Solutions will draw on their vast experience of racing, tuning and modifying TVR sport scars and oversee the Race Car build and development programme whereas TVR Craft will be responsible for the engine, clutch and gearbox package.
The suspension design and development will be in conjunction with Protech Dampers with whom TCS already have an excellent working relationship. Road going Double Adjustable dampers will draw directly on the testing and feedback generated during the development programme on the T350 racer. The lightweight SP12 racing wheels are supplied by independent TVR specialists Silverstone Performance. This dynamic business is already making a big name for itself for high quality workmanship and customer care in the TVR world. The SP12 wheels are 25% lighter and considerably stronger than TVR's roadgoing 18" wheel. These wheels are part of the growing catalogue of SP-engineered improvements for the TVR range. Solafloor supply innovative heating products and have agreed a sponsorship deal to raise their brand awareness in the UK. The team are currently negotiating further deals to fill the remaining 2 sponsorship placements on the car. In 2007 the T350 will line up alongside the Tuscan racers, the Sagaris bodied Tuscan chassis cars, the modified Griffiths and Chimaeras and the Tasmins in what promises to be the most diverse grid ever assembled in TVR racing. The team's current Turbo Tasmin will also be available for hire with a full race support package. 2007 should be an exciting time to be a TVR race driver or spectator.
