TVRCC go Karting

We are delighted to announce the TVR Car Club has an exciting new program that supports upcoming Go Kart racers through fund raising, event attendance and some great days out for all the family.

With TVRs racing heritage and its huge membership of TVR lovers, we have the opportunity to help young racers of the future and at the same time show the cars we love to a new audience.

Jacob Ashcroft is a 10 year old international kart racer for Oliver Rowland Motorsport who has produced some astonishing results and likely to have an exciting future. He’s already appeared in Nickelodeon’s “Extraordinary Me” TV program.

The club shop now has a range of official TVR merchandise available. This is all TVR factory logo branded and includes a selection of metal lapel pin badges of each of the five TVR logos used over the years, available indiviudally or in a presentation set that would make a great gift. Plus a ceramic mug, a fun 3d PVC keyring, a geat quality pen and LED keyring torch gift set and some classic TVR overalls.

If you didn't manage to get down to the Lancaster Insurance Motor Car Show at the NEC and missed visiting our excellent stand or just want to have another look round if you did then take a look at the Virtual Tour on the link above. Clicking on the circles on the floor moves you through the tour and dragging your mouse around gives you a 360° view.

Clicking on the 'i' icons near the info sheets provides a larger view of the information (Close with the black cross top right). You can also join the club or buy some merchandise directly inside the tour by clicking on one of the three icons on the counter.

Latest Update from TVR 15th November 2021

TVR announces a funding and technology partnership with leading lithium innovator Ensorcia and gives us an update on the progress of the new factory in Ebbw Vale.

TVR is delighted to announce that it has today signed an agreement with Ensorcia Metals Corporation that provides significant funding for the formation of a joint venture in the EV space as well as for the production development of the V8-engined Griffith through its affiliate Ensorcia Automotive.

Classic & Sports Car Club Awards 2021 - Star of the Future

There were some terrific nominations for our Star of the Future category at the Classic & Sports Car Club Awards 2021 .

The category winner James Millington first joined his dad at events but is now an asset to the TVR Car Club and its youngest regional organiser, taking on this role aged just 19. Not only is he now the proud owner of two TVRs, he’s arranged events including the ambitious two-day ‘Peaks to the Beach’ which was a big success. The club can’t wait to see what he’ll do in the years to come.

New TVR Car Club Logo and changes at the office

An update from Chairman Richard Sails:
You may have noticed our sparkling new logo on the front cover and throughout Sprint this month. As the old Club logo has been in use for a number of years, we wanted to use something that looked more modern. I am very pleased to say that TVR were willing to allow us to use their modernised version of the speedline logo, in what we think is a very clean modern look. We have tested it on some merchandise and it does look very good.

TVR Factory renovation forges ahead!

Jones Brothers are very busy! In our last update, we shared the fantastic news that the factory renovations had been given the green light by our partners in the Welsh Government.

You’ll recall that the extensive programme of works, being steered by Jones Brothers, comprises the full replacement of the roof and side cladding to all buildings, and some extensive remodelling of the site, which includes removal of some dilapidated structures associated with the building’s previous use.

Fiduciam provides TVR with CBILS loan

Fiduciam has provided car manufacturer TVR through a further three-year £2 million loan, under the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS). Fiduciam has been a financial backer of TVR’s project to develop a new car since March 2016, when it granted a £6 million credit facility to TVR to allow it to develop the new Griffith sports car and prepare for its production. The order book for the new car currently stands at £40 million, representing one year of production.

TVR Manufacturing Update - Dec 2020 - A major step forward...

Since we were last in touch, we’ve all had to go 'back into lockdown and out again and now back in again', which naturally presented us with a number of personal and operational challenges; nevertheless we have managed to make great strides over the last few months.

We were determined to only get back to you with substantive, positive news, and I am delighted to report that now we have just that…

Big news from Wales

After extensive liaison with our partners in the Welsh Government, we are thrilled (and not a little relieved!) to announce that the factory renovation and enhancement scheme finally received planning permission late last month. This was a long process that ran throughout summer and autumn, primarily because there was a need for additional bat surveys – yes, the factory currently has some tiny squatters…

The Club is looking to significantly increase and improve its social media coverage and engagement with members.

The Covid pandemic has reduced the opportunity to physically socialise and share our love of TVR cars, and while the Committee are busily planning lots of fantastic “member only” events for next year, we need some help to communicate these across multiple social media channels.

So we would love to hear from you if you have skills in managing content on Facebook, Instagram and You Tube.

Official TVR Car Club announcement regarding the COVID-19 Virus situation.

The committee have been continually monitoring the situation and the latest Government guidelines. Today after careful consideration, we have taken the unusual action of postponing the AGM for approximately three months. We will monitor the situation before making any further decisions regarding the AGM.

If you had intended to attend the AGM and have not yet voted, please send a postal vote in to the office, preferably by email. During the next few months we will look at all options available to us in order to carry out all the functions of the AGM.

TVR Factory News

TVR have announced that the planning application has now been submitted for their new 200mph Griffith Supercar Factory in Ebbw Vale.

The application has been sent to Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council detailing refurbishment of the former Techboard factory on Rassau Industrial Estate, which will become the manufacturing home of the new Griffith.

NEC Show 2019

We had the most fun weekend meeting lots of new and old friends and drinking thousands of cups of tea.
Thank you to everyone who visited and those owners who showed everyone their fabulous cars. For 3 days solid the stand was full of laughter, engine sounds and biscuit crumbs !
And best of all I think we've inspired many youngsters to be TVR owners one day.
